Severe Cases May Require Tonsil Or Adenoid Surgery    




Sleep apnea is more common in adults, but it is also present in children. These can be caused by enlarged tonsils and adenoids, which block the upper airways. If the cases are severe, it might require tonsil or adenoid surgery. Mild cases show only s snoring, while severe cases can affect oxygen saturation levels in the blood caused by interruptions in sleep. According to specialists, obstructive sleep apnea cases in children are increasing and can be due to childhood obesity.
